Crowdgifts are larger gifts that can be paid for in multiple part payments. For example, maybe you want to be gifted $2000 for a trip overseas. Your fans can contribute as much or as little as they want (from $10 up to the full amount).
How to enable Crowdgifts
Crowdgifts are available to users who have enabled Coinflow cash gifting.
To enable Coinflow, go to Settings >> Payment Settings>> Coinflow
How to create a Crowdgift
Once you have Coinflow setup, you'll now be able to create a Crowdgift by clicking on the "Add Gift" button in the top menu and select "+ Crowdgift".
When will I get paid?
All individual contributions to a crowd fund are individual gifts. This means you get paid each contribution into your Coinflow account as they happen. You do not have to wait for the crowdgift to be completed to receive your payments. As Coinflow is being used, you can withdraw instantly.
Can Crowdgift be over-subscribed?
Yes, crowdgifts can be overpaid, meaning you could be gifted more money than the total of the crowdgift.
Are Crowdgifts protected with chargeback protection?
Yes, like all gifts on YouPay, we offer chargeback protection.
