How to delete your YouPay account?

To delete your YouPay account, you can login and navigate to your settings page. From here, click the "Private Details" tab. You can then scroll to the bottom of this page to find the "Delete my account" option.

What happens when I delete my account?

When you delete your account:

- Your account will be deleted and you can no longer access it.

- We retain some data for fraud prevention and accounting purposes.

- We only keep this data as long as necessary and remove it as soon as possible.

How is my data handled after I delete my account?

After you delete your account:

- We redact (remove or mask) personal information from our records.

- Data not needed for fraud prevention is deleted immediately.

- When we no longer need the remaining data for accounting purposes, fraud prevention and chargeback protection, it is completely deleted from our records.

Can I access my account during the retention period?

No, once you've requested deletion, your account becomes inaccessible. However, if you have concerns about ongoing transactions, please contact our support team.

Is my data secure during the retention period?

Yes, we take data security seriously. Any retained data is securely stored with strict access controls.

Are there any exceptions to this deletion policy?

Accounts involved in fraud investigations or other legal / taxation issues may be retained for longer periods as required by law.

What if I change my mind?

We recommend temporarily disabling your account instead of deleting it if you're unsure. If you do delete your account, we may be able to recover certain information within the first 30 days. Please contact our support team as soon as possible for assistance if you wish to cancel your deletion request.
